the steering wheel on my cadillac cts locked what was the cause of the steering wheel being locked?
A: It’s supposed to lock when you turn off ignition and car in park. It’s part of anti-theft system. If this is what you mean if locks while driving power steering problem.

Q: My 2003 Cadillac CTS keys are stuck in the ignition and it wont start?
I dont think its the battery since I’ve already tried jumper cables. The car is on park. The only thing that turns on when i turn the key is the compass on the rearview mirror and the emergency lights. I’ve also tried wiggling the keys out while turning the steering wheel. Nothing works. Could someone please help? Is this gonna be expensive?
The car will not even start when i attach the jumper cables. It wont turn on AT ALL.

A: Fantastic car. Never thought I’d hear myself say this about a modern American machine but it’s simply stunning.
It is available in RHD specifically for the UK market (£59000 auto version) and if you can afford the ticket price, I guess you can afford the fuel. It will drink probably less than a comparable Mercedes. The suspension is pretty trick (I think it is based on Audi’s magnetic system) and it enabled this car to lap Nurburging in <8 minutes. Not bad.
Would it tempt a buyer from the Audi S-series, BMW M-series etc? I don’t know. The car’s certainly a capable machine but it’s stuck with the ‘Yank Tank’ mindset of UK/Euro buyers – a wholly deserved reputation that will probably take more than Cadillac to dispel. Reliability, though good, is also suspect over here.
America produced the world’s worst cars in the 70’s and 80’s – just when American TV was taking over the world’s airwaves – so we got to see how bad your cars really were – and I’m afraid that stuck. A 1978 Lincoln Town Car is still in the mind of a Brit when you talk American sedans. The muscle-car reputation (generally good and well received) hasn’t moved onto the high performance cars you produce nowadays.
I spend a considerable amount of my time (over 1/3rd) in the States and have done for years – I used to live there. I’m a dyed-in-the-wool muscle car fanatic (own a 68 Dodge Charger 440R/T among other things) but would I actually buy a Caddy? Tough call.
Edit: Been thinking about this off and on since answering – the answer is ‘No, I wouldn’t.’ I would rather spend the equivalent on a Jaguar…

I use to own a jaguar and i kept in mind how much money ive wasted on gas for that baby. But i didnt complaint because i use to love that car however i had to let it go. This summer im planning to get another car…not sure if i should get a jag or a caddy…..any advise?

A: It comes with keyless start.
You can start it with the remote, but you have to insert a key within 10 minutes…

It’s a very impressive car, probably the best looking Cadillac since their new styling cues came in. Also, any idea how much it would cost?
A: GM hasn’t announced a decision yet.
As for the price, it will probably be a little more than a comparably equipped CTS sedan, that is typical for models that are made with both body styles.

By sounds best I mean muscle not rice. It is at 255 HP stock and Im planning on putting in a K&N cold air intake as well.
A: And you will remain at 225 horsepower.
Your horsepower rating is without the exhaust, intake, or any restrictions.
So, no matter what intake and exhaust you put on there, it’s still a restriction. So, you will not increase anything beyond your 225 number. Unless you remove the exhaust, headers, intake, accessories, and transmission, you will not increase beyond 225.
Right now, at the wheels, and after all the restrictions, you actually have around 190 horsepower.
Go for whatever sound you want, but know that you’re still at 225 engine hp.

A: If you take care of it, it should be worth another 200,000 miles.
It’ll be in the shop as often as it needs to, but that’s the price you pay for driving a used car.
Is it worth $10K… That’s for you to decide.

I am not a gear head, but not completely ignorant on cars. I need to change 2 of my 02 censors, but would like to get some advice or see a guide first.

Q: Why does my 2003 Cadillac CTS just shut off ?
I have an 03 Cts and recently while i was driving it just shut off like it ran out of gas. I tryed to crank it back up and it just kept spinning over but wouldnt crank.After a little wait it cranked up and ran for a little while then did it again.
A: Issue related to the fuel pump power lines. I had an s-10 blazer whose fuel pump electrical lines were found to be corroded internally for about half the length due to several flaws in the wire sheathing.
Not being really familiar with the CTS this is the best I could come up with.

I found a couple of Cadillac cars with low mileage and for a low cost, but I was wondering, is it expensive to own one? (maintenance, new parts, etc) What’s the average cost?
A: the cts is considered to be one of the best cars cadillac ever made. it handles better than any other american car, and it’s interior is ok (most american car interiors are horrible, so ok is great! lol)
the sts only wins on the interior, which looks nicer than the cts’s (on the older models anyway, the new cts’s have fantastic interiors). to drive, the sts leaves much to be desired, and is nowhere near as dynamically good as their german rivals.
get the cts because of this reason. it’s very cheap to maintain too, as c7s said, they have the lowest cost of maintenence in it’s class.

I’m planning on getting a new car with in the next month.. and i really like the Cadillac cts. I have some people telling me it’s a great car and a few people telling me other wise… anybody have experience with one or can give me some advice ???

A: Not the most reliable car sold, but it is okay for it’s class. 2008 might be better. Acura TL and Lexus IS350 are better cars, but they don’t have the “Look at me!” style that the CTS does.
