A: That’s really tough. In today’s world, any car that still runs (however rusty) and is for sale for under $1000 won’t last long. My only advice, get the newspaper and search them as soon as you can get your hands on the daily edition. The Saturday and Sunday editions will have the most auto’s in their classifieds. Get up early in the morning on Sat and Sun and start calling EARLY! I can guarantee if you wait until noon to call, any running car for less that a grand will be gone. Especially a Honda.

A: Before you replace the entire headlight unit, I would try cleaning it first. Auto zone sells a headlight cleaner cream called Blue Magic. It runs about $5 and it does a fairly good job. I don’t know how badly fogged up your headlight is but it’s worth a try. If not then they run about $40 for a headlight over here in Texas junkyards (LKQ/Keystone). And they don’t ask for your old headlight and they are not willing to trade.

I just got a Honda civic 2002 EX sedan (4 doors) it comes with a sunroof but I want to know if there is a certain switch that opens it up or something?
My husband says it doesnt open up, but I think it does.

A: There should be a 3 buttons near the left side of your wheel, under the air vent. One opens it, one closes it, one pops it up.

Im lookin around for the best subwoofer and enclosure to go in my new 2011 honda civic. Anyone got any ideas?
A: I don’t think there’s really any vehicle specific enclosures b/c there’s not a need to make room or the hassle of losing space. Just go with any setup you want. Here’s the subwoofer brands I suggest: Fi, JL Audio, Focal, Alpine, Kicker, Cerwin-Vega, Rockford Fosgate, Pioneer, Hifonics, Infinity, Kenwood.
If you really want a high-quality hand-made American brand subwoofer go with anything from Fi Car Audio, but if you just want sound quality get the SSD or Q sub from Fi. Good luck!
Q: how do i fix my headlights on a 92 honda civic DX?
I have a 92 / 93 honda civic hatchback DX and recently the drivers side head light wont light up. I replaced the connectors and the lights on both sides since they were both basically melted into the Original connectors. Now I don’t have any brights and the drivers light still doesn’t light up. Is this just a fuse problem or a short issue?
A: check ground connections as well as headlight relay in main fuse panel in engine compt.

I have a completely stock 1999 honda civic hx, 184,000 miles. i was wondering what needs to be done to this car before i can install a turbo and other performance parts, i dont want to blow it up and be out of a car.
A: Without at least $10,000 to spend on the turbo, exhaust, upgraded transmission, pistons, rods, and valavetrain that you need you are wasting your time.

Just assume the Lamborghini is extremely rare and theres only 10 of them in the world and theres only 1 self driving Honda Civic in the world.
A: The Honda. I can’t drive a stick, and the two times friends tried to teach me many moons ago, I almost dropped their transmissions out on the highway.
A good life lesson– a useless and expensive shiny thing rarely outdoes a useful, serviceable, reliable implement over the long haul.

I’m going to give my 1994 Honda civic ex 1.6 L v-tec. I was going to give it a tune up be I was wondering what are the best spark plugs and wires to buy for it? Where can I get them? cuz auto zone didnt have any.
A: DENSO IRIDIUM SPARK PLUGS. those are the oem spark plugs. ngk wires are good but make sure you get denso spark plugs. they are a little more expensive but well worth it

I am looking at a 1999 Honda civic, and the man that owns it has put a Acura engine in it. Is that a bad thing?

I want to get some aftermarket wheels for my 2004 Honda Civic Coupe LX, but I want to stay with the same size of tires. I believe that the tires I have on there now are 195/60R15. I know that I obviously want to stick with 15″ rims, but what else do I need to know about the size of the wheel?
A: Look inside the door jam of the driver’s door. There is suppose to be a label that tells you tire size and air pressure.

A: Yes. Civic motors are smaller (maybe 1.6L). Accords are a little bit bigger (2.2L-3.5L)
Q: What car should I get honda civic coupe or Pontiac G6 Sedan?
Ok I’m in highschool and my 18th birthday is coming up. I get to choose between the Honda civic 2 door or 4 door. And the Pontiac G6 4 door. Which one is more stylish and has the best standard features? Thank you for your help and opinions
A: Hmm let’s see.
In my opinion, (4 door) sedans are much better than (2 door) coupes since insurance costs are cheaper and its not a hassle when you have passengers (they come in and out).
A Honda Civic. The starting cost of one (the DX, but not recommended since it doesnt come with alot of basic features, ie air conditioning) is around $16k. A preferred version would be the LX (#18k) has all the technological marvels, efficiency (26/34), and decent power (140 HP) of a Honda. If you’re a more sporty person, try the Civic SI ($22k) with its 197 horsepower engine (just make sure you know manual). And it’s a Honda…..Nuff said. Just ask JD Power & Associates and various car critics.
A Pontiac G6. Starting price $22k. 2.0 L 164 HP. 22/30 MPG. Although the MSRP says starting price $22k, the market value of the G6 is actually $18k. So its pretty overpriced. Even Forbes says so. Although GM is bankrupt, and thus Pontiac a dead brand, some dealers will probably cut a pretty handsome discount for it to get off the showroom floor.
You decide. I bet your decision isn’t gonna be a hard one.

I want to find a 1996-2000 Honda Civic hatchback in my state somewhere. How would I do that? I’ve looked on Craigslist and have not found one? Anyone that has one, please let me know how you got it.

You can search by body style. Now keep in mind Honda didn’t sell that many 6th gen hatches, most were coupes or sedans. In the US you could only get a hatchback CX or DX.
I did a nationwide autotrader search for a 96-00 civic hatch and only found 88.
Q: How much to sell 92 Honda Civic that does not run for?
I have a 92 honda civic I am trying to sell but do not know how much to sell it for. It does not run and has a salvaged title. It needs a few new parts but most of it aside from the engine was replaced in the last year. My husband is saying 800, I say more like 500 or 600 what do you think is a decent price?
A: If the body and interior are decent yo will be lucky to get your price unless you find somebody that wants it to trick out with a new motor and make a little rice racer out of it. If nothing else, Pacific Recycling will pick it up and give you $300 for it.

Im planning to get a 2006 Honda civic LX but Im not sure is i should because of horsepower. The 06 Civic looks great and the ACE body kit I found on Procivic would make it look even cooler but is it worth it to try to upgrade the car with mods or should I try to upgrade to a different car, if you think i should upgrade please list what cars would be better.
