Q: Why did Ken Block switch cars and Why does the tuned Ford Fiesta have higher hp an tq vs. the Subaru WRX STi?
The specs for HP/TQ are as follows: 650/660 all the wheels for the Fiesta, 565/590 for the STi. The Fiesta was prepared by M-Sport and the STi by Crawford Perfomance. Also I would like to know your opinions on which car do you like more.
I am talking about the Gymkhana versions.

A: I read somewhere that he had no choice. It was Subaru that dropped out.

Q: How tough is it to keep an Subaru Wrx Sti maintained?
Okay! So i’m in college going to school free. So i’m thinking why not get an honda civic si or wait get something i really want like 2006-2007 wrx sti. I bet its going to be a load trying to keep one maintained. But how often should i expect to be going to the shop? and How much should i expect to be spending? Thanks you all for helping me

A: they are the same as any other car. change your oil when you need to and you will be ok. at around 75,000 miles make sure to have the timing belt changed. these cars can go for a long time. i have seen some subarus with over 600,000 miles on them.

Q: Does anyone know where i can buy a subaru wrx sti or mitsubishi evo for around 20k?
someone please help im trying to buy one of these. What is the insurance like on these?

A: Search autotrader.com for your zip code and the vehicles you want. A 100 mile radius usually provides plenty of choices but you may have to go to a larger radius to find what you seek.

Insurance for these is highly dependent upon age and driving record. If you are under 25, it is going to be expensive. If you are under 25 and have some tickets, it is going to be extremely expensive.

Q: What is the difference between a 2004 subaru wrx and a 2004 subaru wrx sti?
Im deciding on which one to buy but I dont have that much money.
HELP ME!!!

A: WRX: 227hp 2.0 liter turbo, 5 speed manual.
STi: 300hp 2.5 liter turbo, 6 speed manual, Brembo brakes, driver controlled center differential, huge wing.

Buy the one you can afford. Make sure you can afford the insurance too.

Q: What hand tools do I need to install a turbo back exhaust on a 05 Subaru WRX STI?
Bought a Cobb Catless TBE and was going to install it soon, just wanted to make sure I had everything I needed before I started. I got a new gasket for the turbo and a donut gasket for the down pipe to the CBE.

A: If you are installing a turbo back, you probably won’t use a donut gasket. Tool wise all you need is a good ratchet set. A second set of hands will make things a lot easier. Especially when re installing the down pipe. One person under the car and one up above will help a lot. But I did mine alone twice so it’s not too bad.

Q: What car should i get the subaru wrx sti 06-07 or the acura rsx type s 06?
tell me why and which one has a better repair record, i dont care who wins in a race but which is better.

A: Depends what you are looking for.. If it is a fast car with lots of torque in snow or sun. STI. If it is good gas mileage then it is the RSX. The thing is you are comparing apples to oranges here. The STI had 300hp and 300ft/lbs of torque with the RSX with only 200hp and 160ft/lbs of torque. Acceleration will be not in the same league here, but if you want something sporty with 30mpg or more then get the Acura. I would prefer the power though!

Q: I would like to know what are the killawats to the subaru wrx sti 99,02,03,06 models please?
I need to know whats the best sti to buy so i dont have to buy performance parts later on if the car dosent have the grunt?

A: this very fast and a new power engine

Q: subaru wrx sti 1999 2 door coupe production?
about ten years ago subaru made a 2 door coupe version of the wrx sti, why did they stop making them? I’m sure that people would have prefered the 2 door version.

A: keep in mind the coupe was made from 93-01 thats 8 years. plus the real reason is they made a 4dr for it to have a bigger and more wider wheel base making it better handling this is also why they made a wagon. but i do love that body style the best

Q: should i buy a 2004 Subaru wrx sti for 15k?
i recently came across a 2004 wrx sti for 15k. it looks really good from inside and out. engine sound good 60k miles in it. i was wondering if its a good deal or should i just buy a new car with that cash.

A: That’s really low for that mileage. In fact it’s suspiciously cheap so I would be worried. But then again some people just want to get rid of a car and price it to sell so you never know. Ask for maintenance records and have a mechanic look the car over for signs of major repairs.

Q: how many miles do subaru wrx sti get on them?
im looking at subaru wrx sti but was just wondering how long and how many miles can they get on them before just dying

A: cars do not have an expiration date, there is no magical mileage were they “just die” if it is maintained there are enough parts available to keep one running for hundreds of thousands of miles.

Q: Will a subaru sti suspension fit in a wrx non-sti?
I have a 2004 Subaru wrx and the suspension is going on it I was wondering if i could get an sti suspension same year will it fit on or will I have to do some adjustments?

A: Pretty sure only the 04 STI suspension will fit your car. When you look at sites that sell parts, they list a different part number for 05 and up STI’s but the 04 sti and 02 to 07 WRX’s are the same.

Q: Is a 2009 subaru wrx sti good first car?
im 17 and i was thinking of getting the WRX STI 2009, is that a good first car for around 35k?
If not, why?
Any other suggestions for sporty, good looking, reliable fast cars?

A: You should also consider that such a car may be expensive to insure. Check your insurance rates before buying one, for example here – carquotes.sinfree.net

Q: Which car is better to race and drift in a 2006 Subaru WRX STi or Mitsubishi’s Lancer Evolution MR ?
Looking for a new car i want the best out of these two but i don’t know which one is better. I want it to be fast, cheap, and able to drift. and has a lot of aftermarket parts to customize what i want. any ideas. Also where can i get a used one for cheap which ever it may be?

A: If you want a drift car, don’t get an all wheel drive. A guy with a rear wheel will destroy you EVERY time.

Out of these two, The STI has more power and in my opinion is built better overall. But you might want to consider a mazda RX8 or something RWD.

P.S These car’s arn’t really that cheap and the parts are expensive because they are already really good stock.

Q: What is an average rolling 0-60 start for an subaru wrx sti?
I have heard between high four’s to low six’s?

A: 4.2-4.5

Q: does anyone know where I can find a 2007 Subaru WRX STI in Wisconsin. Does it come it automatic?
(Yes, I know manual is faster but due to injury in the war I cannot drive stick)
any thoughts on this car? I’m also looking at the 2006 GTO and the 2007 V8 mustang. I haven’t been able to find much info on the 2007 STI.
How much HP does the 2007 STI have with all the optional upgrades? (intake, and exhuast upgrade etc.).

A: Your local dealer will have to check the inventory throughout the state (most likely none). Or you’ll have to order one or go find a dealer hundreds of miles away (in a neighboring state) that has one. The most likely area to find a dealer with the STI is the Milwaukee area, since that’s the only metropolitan area in WI. It will also be difficult to get certain parts and service for the STI in WI. The STI comes with a 6-speed M/T only. A Short Throw Shifter is the only option for the transmission. Look into the Mustang instead, because you cannot drive stick.
